Quercetin with vitamin C
This food supplement from ViVe Supplements contains 300mg vitamin C and 250mg quercetin per capsule. We recommend a daily dose of 2 capsules.
Quercetin is one of the secondary plant substances and is a flavonoid. Our body cannot produce flavonoids on its own, so we need to get them from food.
Together with other plant pigments, it gives fruits and vegetables their bright colors.
Vitamin C - the all-rounder
Vitamin C, scientifically known as L-ascorbic acid, is probably the best-known water-soluble vitamin. It supports cell protection by neutralizing excess free radicals. Because of this property, it is also called an antioxidant.
Vitamin C is also important for the functioning of the immune system and can promote normal psychological function. Due to its role in energy metabolism, it can reduce tiredness and fatigue, and the nervous system also benefits from an adequate supply of vitamin C.
Another property of the vitamin is that it supports collagen formation and is therefore important for the normal function of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, skin, gums and teeth. In addition, ascorbic acid increases iron absorption and regenerates used vitamin E.
Occurrence of quercetin
Quercetin is primarily obtained from the inner bark of the dyer's oak, as this is particularly rich in the secondary plant substance. However, the substance can also be found in numerous other plant-based foods.
The natural color pigment is increasingly found in fruits and vegetables; however, depending on the preparation, some of it is lost. Alternatively, quercetin can be administered directly in capsule form.
- Recommended dosage: Adults take 2 capsules daily, divided between meals, with plenty of water.
- Note: The recommended dosage must not be exceeded. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet. Keep out of the reach of small children. Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
