Royal jelly is a natural substance that honey bees produce to feed their queen. From the time royal jelly is consumed, the queen larva reaches 800 times its initial weight within 5 days and within a further 11 days it is able to lay up to 2000 eggs a day. In the further course, it lives about 50 times as long as worker bees.
The bee secretion contains a diverse combination of natural substances. These include amino acids, vitamins, minerals, trace elements and enzymes. The valuable ingredient is 10-HDA (10-hydroxydecenoic acid). 10-HDA is also known as queen bee acid. The royal jelly from ViVe Supplements is standardized to a content of 4% 10-HDA. The standardization of a raw material is an essential quality feature that ensures the consistent proportion of the valuable ingredient.
The royal jelly used by ViVe Supplements has been freeze-dried. Freeze-drying is a particularly gentle technical preservation process. First, the royal jelly is deep-frozen and then placed in a vacuum chamber in which it is exposed to negative pressure. The negative pressure generated causes the frozen water to evaporate without changing to a liquid state. This process is very gentle on the raw material. The process is particularly suitable for high-quality raw materials that are sensitive to heat and oxygen.
There is an international ISO standard (ISO 12824:2016) for royal jelly with two different qualities. These differ in the type of feeding. In the high-quality royal jelly, the bee colony only receives natural food. For the lower-quality royal jelly, the bees also receive feed solutions.
The bees that produce the royal jelly from ViVe Supplements do not receive any feed solutions, but only natural food.
Recommended consumption:
Adults take 3 capsules daily, divided between meals, with plenty of water.
